The vast majority of PvE content is soloable or you can join a player guild (up to 5 of them at one time) or simply ask in chat to see if anyone wants to group and do something. The combat system is different, no more shooting fireballs from your hands as a Destruction staff is now required along with many other changes. The vast amount of content (with more to come this summer) can be overwhelming to some people, but I have loved the exploration of the world of Tamreil. It is NOT Skyrim, but the Elder Scrolls lore is there and as good or better than Obl and Sky. 2018 I got addicted within 3 days in spite of my confusion and frustration over not knowing what I was doing. I played Oblivion and Skyrim and when I started playing this in Dec. However you don't really experience the benefits of ESO+ without.

Apparently, before I started playing, they had a major 'One Tamriel' update that essentially removed 'this zone is dangerous for your level' and removed restrictions on alliance areas (as in you can be Daggerfall Covenent and freely move about Aldmeri Dominion or Ebonheart Pact areas without worry of getting ganked or something). if you're used to something more like WoW, especially older iterations of WoW, well.
